About Jaymus

Jaymus is a Mancunian artist who works for the NHS in radiology. He is bipolar and ocd diagnosed and this is a huge part of why he started to express himself through his art, Jaymus is from Longsight in Manchester, an inner city area with a bad reputation and he is the product of his working class environment and is extremely proud of his community and area as it made him who he is today 

Through his art he expresses his unrelenting and chaotic thoughts with a manic colourful twist, some might say his art is psychedelic in nature and that is due to the subculture he belongs too, Manchester is a city of music and rave culture and Jaymus is from this scene, he has a love for illegal raves and sound system culture heavily influenced by jungle and reggae music, when Jaymus was younger in his wilder days he took many psychedelic substances which left him with a distinct outlook of the world, all these things together make up a unique mind which can produce some truly crazy pieces of work.
